Equalities Bill update available online

Harriet Harman's Equality Bill passed through the House of Commons in December 2009. She said:

"This landmark Bill contains ground-breaking provisions to narrow the gap between rich and poor, and fight discrimination in all its forms - including age discrimination. This Bill will make Britain a more equal place, and help us build a stronger economy and fairer society for the future."

A new  'Easy Read' version of the Equality Bill is available online at  www.equalities.gov.uk.  There have been some important new additions made to the bill. To find out more about these go to Diversity Link.  We will keep you updated of key changes in Governance Today throughout 2010.
