Is it just pass or fail?

No! You are given every help and all assessments can be understood and retaken.

Is independent study required?

We will provide handouts with the information needed to pass and transfer this effectively into your own organisation.

What do you have to do?

3 days training- Assessment exercises.

How do you gain skills and knowledge?

From your other experienced chairs, your tutor, the exercises, mentoring and the

whole experience. You will be with peers, who are chairs or vice chairs on other

housing organisations, so you will be able to network and share and compare

experiences. Discussion group type learning - no lectures!

What do you learn?

Interesting and stimulating exercises. The governance framework in housing and

context for chairs. The role and relationship with board and panels.

How to develop and lead effective boards and panels.

Being an effective chair - practising and honing your chairing skills with

enjoyable exercises. Evaluating effectiveness.

Who is it for in your organisation?

This programme is for new chairs and vice chairs and those chairs who are already

great at chairing and want to improve and welcome the validation the award process gives.

How much will it cost?

£395.00 per person plus Vat, ILM registration fees and hotels costs- meals & drinks included.
