Description
GO! Gold -
Governance Officers’
Leadership Award
Glasgow 23/24 June 2010
GO! Gold is an exciting new development tool that
will enable you to improve governance in your
organisation.
GO! Gold is for everyone who is involved in
supporting and developing the work of their Board.
GO! Gold participants will develop the knowledge
and skills required to drive their organisation towards
Governance Excellence.
What will I learn on GO! Gold?
The powerful programme will cover
• Legal Aspects of Governance - to build understanding of relevant
legislation, filing requirements, company constitutions and
schemes of delegation
• Good Governance Frameworks - to ensure your Board
understands the environment it is working in and receives high
quality reports and information. Make sure they’re up to speed
with codes and standards of governance and can deal effectively
with conflicts of interest
• Good Governance Boards – make sure your Board know what
their roles and responsibilities are. Plan for great inductions,
appraisals and development programmes and know how to deal
confidently with disciplinary issues ... if they arise
• Regulation and Operational Matters – understand the purposes of
regulation and the growing emphasis on tenant led governance
