While often viewed as a highly technical area, treasury management is ultimately responsible for ensuring your organisation has the funding, liquidity and financial resilience to deliver its strategic objectives, as it plays a critical role in maintaining the financial viability and regulatory compliance.
This introductory session will help demystify treasury management by explaining the key concepts, terminology and risks that Boards need to understand. We will explore how organisations secure and manage borrowing, monitor covenant compliance, forecast cash flow requirements and maintain adequate liquidity to support the day-to-day operations and long-term investment plans.
We will also challenge assumptions, risk exposure and governance through practical examples and sector-specific insights to help you feel confident participating in treasury discussions and effectively overseeing key aspects of your organisation’s financial management.
