Safeguarding in Social Housing

Safeguarding in Social Housing

It is vital that Board Members understand the strategic elements of Safeguarding in Adults and Children. Boards need to understand what it means, what the main provisions of the Care Act 2014 are (and equivalents in Wales and Scotland), and the role and duties of the Housing Association in relation to Safeguarding.

This session will also talk about the multi-agency framework, relevant policies and procedures including information sharing and whistle blowing required to ensure effective Safeguarding.

It will consider how the Board gains assurance that the organisation is meeting its Safeguarding responsibilities and consider how the Board can lead from the top and drive the right safeguarding culture in your organisation.

Presented by Karen Anderson
