The Sector Risk Profile highlights the importance of prioritising Health and Safety. The Board must understand its responsibilities and know how to ensure that the Executives are providing enough assurance in this regard. Setting an example at the top of the organisation for this is crucial.
The Regulator has stated that Boards are ultimately responsible for ensuring the Health and Safety of their tenants and staff and they must have appropriate controls in place to ensure compliance with all their Health and Safety responsibilities.
