National Association of Governance Officers membership
Our National Association of Governance Officer’s membership, also known as NAGO, is led by Alice Pearce and is designed for individuals working within social housing in Scotland, Wales, and England. This membership offers a strong support network, shares policies and processes, and provides access to the latest industry insights.

Training and development

Junior governance support officer training
Do you need to understand why you do some of your tasks, or do you want to feel more confident to speak out with the Executives or Board members and understand the background of Social Housing?
There is much to learn, whether you are new to the job or the industry, and doing so can be challenging. Through this training, you will gain a better understanding of the “bigger picture,”. We also offer additional support through our support package.

The governance leadership training
This intensive eight-week training covers everything a governance officer working within social housing needs to know. This training will be taught online by our very own Directors Alice Pearce and Yvonne Atkinson. We also offer additional support through our support package.
After completing training, you will have a solid understanding of the:
guiding principles of governance.
operating procedures of governance in a social housing organisation.
on the latest regulatory requirements to help you stay up-to-date and ensure the operations are compliant.
Tailored training
All our training sessions can be delivered either remotely or in person for in-house training, induction sessions, or as part of wider training programmes. The training can be customised to meet the specific needs of your organisation.
